ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– Another 16-year-old girl and a 20 year old are dead after gunfire erupted in a south city park Thursday night.
It happened at Gravois Park. Three teenage boys, the youngest 14, were also shot.
The shootings have galvanized the Gravois Park neighborhood and angered Mayor Francis Slay.
“What we’re seeing is way too many guns out on the street, way too many people using guns to settle disputes, and way too many people being involved in gangs so they can feel tough or feel important or whatever it is they want to do,” said Mayor Slay. “And the other thing we’re finding is not enough people are cooperating with police when something like this happens.”
The three teens shot have all been released from the hospital.
Police say they are not cooperating with police in the investigation.
