Lindenwood Park Shows Off Area Restaurants

Lindenwood Park Shows Off Area Restaurants

As part of their continuing effort to show off restaurants in south St. Louis, the Lindenwood Park Neighborhood held their fourth monthly "Explore South City" tweetup happy hour.

The goal of the socials is to highlight restaurants in south city to residents, neighbors and those looking for great places to hold functions.

Tuesday night's tweetup was held at El Paisano Mexican restaurant on Watson Road, just south of Fyler.  Attendees were offered happy hour specials, and directories from the neighborhood association.

The events are called "tweetups" because organizers use social media, especially Twitter, to spread the word about each month's restaurant.

Residents who attend also get the chance to meet and talk with their Alderperson and their Neighborhood Stabilization Officer.

St. Louis Helping Hands Feeding The Hungry

Missouri is a state rich in history, beauty, prosperity, education and opportunity. However, within  our richness, lies poverty, fear and hunger. The St. Louis Area Foodbank says 1 out of every 8 people in the Bi-State region are in need of food assistance.

A local group called Helping Hands is working  around the clock keeping their shelves fully stocked  providing food free of charge to people who may not know where their next meal is coming from. The Helping Hands organization believes in the power of community and is on a mission to create a hunger free America.
