Churchill Museum Wedding Giveaway To Children Of WWII Veterans

To help preserve and continue the memory of World War II veterans, the National Churchill Museum in Fulton, Missouri, is offering a wedding giveaway for one of their descendants.  The bride or groom must live in the metropolitan St. Louis area.  Contest entry is simple.  The contest reward is fabulous and includes a wedding in the magnificent, historic Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury.  

Designed by Christopher Wren in 1677, the beautiful English church was painstakingly moved from London and reconstructed on the Westminster College campus, site of Winston Churchill’s “Iron Curtain” speech.

Jammin' At The Zoo Lineup

The Saint Louis Zoo’s Young Zoo Friends invite you to celebrate 100 years of the Saint Louis Zoo at their summer 21-and-up event, Jammin’ at the Zoo. On Wednesdays, July 28 and August 25, from 6 to 10 p.m., enjoy great live music while sipping your way through 200 different wines from more than 50 wineries.

The Tasting Package includes a wine tasting, available between 6 and 8 p.m., while supplies last. Wine by the glass and bottle, beer, soda and frozen specialty drinks will be available for purchase. No outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted at the event.

On July 28, enjoy live entertainment by Jake's Leg, Soul Alliance featuring CoCo Soul, Tiny Cows, DJ Needles, and Charles Glenn.

On August 25, Dawn Weber, DJ Andrew Mullins, Fat Pocket, Hudson & the HooDoo Cats, Kim Massie will perform.

FORM - Contemporary Design Show 2010

FORM 2010 is currently seeking applications from designers to participate in the first installment of an annual contemporary furniture, functional object and design show taking place on August 13-14, 2010 in Saint Louis, MO. They are seeking innovative designers, design firms and stores to participate
in the region's largest contemporary design show.

FORM is presented by The Luminary Center for the Arts as a forum for exceptional designers to showcase their work, connect with a community of other designers and sell directly to supporters. Proceeds from the event will go directly to the designers and to support a new artist equipment library at The Luminary.
