Police are searching for a suspect accused of robbing a store twice in south St. Louis.
Authorities said on September 15 at 5:08 p.m. the suspect entered Family Dollar located at 3411 S. Jefferson, waited for the customer line to clear then approached the cashier with a black revolver and demanded cash. The cashier complied with the suspect’s demand and handed over the cash.
The suspect fled the scene on foot. He is described as a black male, 18-22 years old, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall, weighing between 140-150 pounds and having a dark complexion. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with “Hollister” on the left sleeve in white lettering and a multi-colored baseball hat.
Authorities said the same suspect is believed to be responsible for a second robbery at the same store on September 18 at 8:30 p.m. The suspect entered the store and immediately displayed a black revolver and demanded cash. The cashier complied with the suspect’s demand and handed over cash from the register. The suspect fled the scene on foot. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black Chicago White Sox baseball cap with a white emblem.
